The chakras are energy vortexes located all throughout the body. There are seven chakras in total, and they are responsible for not only your physical health, but also your emotional, mental, and spiritual health as well. Each chakra has it’s own unique frequency, when the interaction of these frequencies are balanced, you feel peaceful and at perfect harmony with yourself as well as towards other people. When they are off balance, it can have significant negative effects. An unbalanced chakra, is unable to fulfill it’s energy contribution to the body. This can have negative psychological and physical consequences on an individual. Anger, depression, constipation, lack of concentration, and sexual dysfunctions are just a few examples of symptoms due to an unbalanced chakra system.

Any number of things can easily jostle our chakra system and cause these frequencies to become out of tune. Whether it be a traumatic experience, a drop in temperature, or even a stressful incident at work. The balance of our chakra system is so fragile. Just the same as how a guitar needs to be tuned from time to time our chakra system is the same way.

We need to listen to each chakra’s frequency once in awhile, to allow our chakra system to bring itself back into proper tune, and recover from the everyday burden it is put through. By listening to each chakra’s individual frequency, you directly stimulate and it naturally rebalances itself. It only takes a few minutes per chakra to perform this and the benefits you will receive from it are well worth it.

I have spent much of my time, trying to learn the most effective methods for developing and balancing the chakra system . I have studied various meditation techniques, yoga, and even experimented with hypnosis. Finally, after a lot of trial and error i have found the most effective way to stimulate each of the seven chakras to their fullest potential.

I immediately started to feel a warm calm feeling, and then I noticed a gradual shit of consciousness . It almost felt like a dream, but I was fully awake and aware of my surroundings. When I finally opened my eyes, I started to notice bits of colored light.

After about a minute, the colored lights started to fade away. But this new energy and feeling of complete peace and harmony continues to remain with me.

If you feel ready to experience this new energy that happens when all the chakras are stimulated and in perfect balance visit www.PowerOfChakra.Com and find out how I did it.

Root Chakra Meditation Exercise

In one of my earlier posts about the root chakra, I talked about how this chakra is basically your foundation. It is what keeps you strong and grounded in your beliefs and personality. In my opinion, it is well worth it to spend extra time on developing this chakra.  Even if we were born with a naturally strong root chakra, in the sort of world we live in today an imbalance can easily be created. With the current state of the economy, thousands of people losing their jobs, and houses going on foreclosure, it is more important than ever to exercise our root chakra.

A weak root chakra will result in a lack of confidence, inability to stand up for yourself or your beliefs, and negative thoughts that will bring yourself down. I’d like to show you a great root chakra meditation, that can easily be done every morning before you start your day.

As you inhale, visualize your root chakra and feel your breath flowing into it

As you exhale, mentally recite to yourself

I’m letting go of all negativity, concerning my physical safety and needs

As you inahle, mentally recite to yourself

I am grateful for everything that I have received, concerning my physical safety and needs

As you exhale, mentally recite to yourself

I’m letting go of all negativity, concerning my material needs

As you inahle, mentally recite to yourself

I am grateful for all that I’ve received, concerning my material needs

As you exhale, mentally recite to yourself

I release all negativity, concerning money, my job, and my home

As you inahle, mentally recite to yourself

I am grateful for all that I’ve received, including money, my job, and my home

Now finish this root chakra meditation off by taking one last deep breath and say out loud to yourself

I recognize that I deserve all I’ve achieved in my past, present, and what is yet to come.

Sometimes, we need to remind ourselves of who we are, and that we are at peace with ourselves and where we stand in this world.  By taking just a few minutes each day to do this root chakra meditation, we effectively maintain a healthy balance for our root chakra.

Some days, I feel I need to do a little extra to strengthen and balance my root chakra. When that is the case, I usually incorporate the use of chakra frequencies to stimulate my root chakra even further.  Visit PowerOfChakra.com to download these audio tracks.

Learning To Open Heart Chakra

The heart chakra is the chakra of love as well as compassion and it is located at the center of the chest.  The condition of this chakra, will determine your ability to be able to handle certain issues like love, anger, jealousy, betrayal, and much more. Someone with a properly developed heart chakra will be able to handle these issues in a positive way. A very traditional approach to bringing out the heart chakra energy is through the use of mantra meditation. In my last post on How To Open The Third Eye Chakra I taught you the mantra "AUM" which is the seed sound of the third eye.

In this post, I will teach you "YAM" to open the heart chakra.  It is important to take this very seriously, this is a real technique and it’s effect will produce a stimulation effect that will bring out your heart chakra energy.

Now we will begin, these are my guidelines for performing the Yam mantra meditation.

1.Find a quiet and comfortable place to sit down on the floor cross legged.

2. Close your eyes, and recite the heart chakra’s mantra which is "YAM".

3. As you are chanting this visualize and focus on your heart chakra at the center of your chest.

If you have done this correctly, you will notice a significant rush of energy. In order not to cause an imbalance of the other chakras, for beginners I recommend that you do not exceed more than 20 repitations per session.

If you are serious about learning how to open the heart chakra and want to take your chakra training to the next level , I highly recommend visiting PowerOfChakra.com for a whole new approach to chakra training!

How To Open Your Third Eye Chakra

I’ve noticed that the third eye chakra, seems to be the most popular chakra that people are interested in. It is really no surprise, after all if you can learn how to open your third eye you unlock your wisdom and inner vision. However, this is probably the most difficult chakra to open. Through traditional methods this can take a lot of practice and patience. For this reason, many people tend to become discouraged rather easily and come to the conclusion that the third eye chakra is simply a myth or that you have to be born with psychic abilities.

This is not the case at all! Yes, there are some gifted individuals that are natually born with an open third eye. It should be noted though, that everyone is born with ALL of the seven chakras and with consistent practice and determination we can naturally develop them. The third eye chakra is no exception.

Now without further delay, I am going to go over an exercise to help you learn how to open your third eye chakra.

The mantra or seed sound of the third eye chakra is "AUM" When properly chanted, it will sound more like ""OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" and end with a shorter sound "MMMM".

By doing this, you will be practicing an ancient technique called mantra meditation.  Aum mantra meditation is a great way to stimulate and eventually open your third eye if practiced long term on a regular basis.

So in order to wrap this post up, let’s review how to perform the Aum mantra meditation.

1.  I suggest you find a quiet place where you can chant the Aum mantra with no distractions.

2.  Next, close your eyes and chant "Aum" pronouncing it as "OOOOOOOOOOOO" and end with a shorter sound of "MMMM".

3. In order for this exercise to work correctly, it is important to focus on your third eye chakra which is located at the center of your forehead.  Keep all your attention and focus on this area while you are doing your chanting.

Chakra Exercises

I thought people would like to learn some great chakra exercises for beginners.  In this post, I’m going to show you a powerful exercise to start opening the root chakra. The root chakra is a great place to start in your chakra training, and I firmly believe that it is important to spend some extra time on this one, in order to build up a strong foundation before progressing on to any of the other seven.

It is not uncommon for someone with a unbalanced root chakra to always feel ancy or uncomfortable standing in one place. This is a result of not having a strong foundation at your root chakra and this brings a feeling  of not being properly grounded. If this is the case, you may even notice sometimes that it feels like your feet aren’t properly touching the ground as you walk.

So to help with this, and strenghten your root chakra you can practice the following chakra exercises.

1. First start off standing straight with your feet relaxed and shoulder width apart.

2.  Now carefully bend your knees slightly.

3. While properly maintaining your balance, bring your pelvis forward a bit.

4.  Check to make sure your weight is evenly distrubted among both of your feet in this position.

5.  Lastly, being to sink your weight downward.

While in this position, you will want to close your eyes and do some deep breathing. Just relax in the moment, and be mindful of your connection to the ground. For beginners, make a goal to maintain the position for at least one minute. With practice, you may want to challenge yourself and increase the duration to five minutes or more. Just do whatever is comfortable for you and do not strain yourself too much. This should be an enjoyable experience and not feel like a rigrous exercise.

I hope you have found this post useful, I will be posting more chakra exercises on this blog in the near future.

The root chakra responds very well to frequency stimulation. This is my favorite method for opening and strenghtening the chakras. If you are interested in taking your chakra training to a further level, I highly recommend visiting PowerOfChakra.com

Chakra Frequencies

A common misconception is that listening to chakra frequencies is all hype and not a legitimate way to strengthen and develop your chakras. This could not be farther from the truth! I assure you that anybody who shares this opinion has not even tried it for themselves.

Pretty much everything on this Earth under the sun has it’s own unique frequency. Including each of the seven chakras in our system.  Since ancient times, humans have been attracted to the therapeutic effect of listening to music.  We don’t enjoy it simply because it is a form of entertainment or pass time. Studies have shown that specific frequencies can be have a negative or positive effect on a human being.

I’ll give one example of a negative effect,

We are all familiar with the sound of nails scratching against a chalk board. This is such a strong frequency that everyone that hears this sound either covers their ears, flinches, and even the hairs on the back of our necks begin to stand up!

Now here is an example of a positive effect through the use of frequencies,

There is a researcher in Minnesota, that discovered something truly interesting. He found that agricultural plants would grow at an astonishing rate when they were exposed to the sound of an Indian flute called the Sitar.

Just like the agricultural plants responding in a positive way to the sound of the Indian flute, we can directly stimulate our chakras in a powerful way by listening to their unique frequencies.

When listening to a chakra frequency recording , you are actually listening to two distinct wave frequencies. Each one is picked up by your ears independently.  When these two frequencies reach the brain, it responds by creating a THIRD frequency. This results in a slight shift in consciousness.  The corresponding chakra then reacts by activating and then begins to rebalance itself.
I have practiced Kundalini yoga, various forms of meditation, and the chanting of mantras. However, I have found that listening to chakra frequencies is the most direct and effective way to stimulate and activate the seven chakras.

If you would like to know where you can find these recordings, I download all of my chakra audio from PowerOfChakra.com .

How To Open Chakras

In my last post, I gave everyone a brief overview of the chakra system and the seven chakras. In this post, I would like to talk about how to open chakras and the benefits and importance of doing so. If you read my last post on the chakra system, you learned that each of the seven chakras is related to a specific mental, physical, or emotional state. When these chakras are properly opened and balanced, you feel great and at harmony with yourself, others, and everything around you. However, if even one of the chakras are not properly opened or off balance it can have a signicant negative impact.

I will give a brief example with the root chakra,

The root chakra is basically the source of security and the foundation of your life.  It brings stability among other things, and in order to learn how to open chakras it is important to start with this one.

If your root chakra is closed,  all the other chakras will remain closed as well. Think of the root chakra as the foundation of  a house. Without a strong foundation, even the slightest bit of wind could potentially bring the entire house to a collapse.

So what are some symptoms of a weak or closed root chakra? A few include but are not limited to:

  • low self esteem
  • constipation
  • a lack of security
  • lower back pain
  • depression

At this point, you may be wondering how does someone go about learning how to open chakras? Well there are many exercises specifically geared towards targeting each individual chakra. There are also other ways that include yoga, meditation, and even chanting mantras. Some of these methods are more difficult than others. It should also be noted that some of these methods are more effective than others. It can be very useful to experiment with different methods and find what works best for you.

I’ve experimented with quite a few different techniques and exercises. Through some trial and error, I’ve learned that the most effective method that works for me, is through the use of meditation with the aid of chakra frequencies recordings .

I believe for beginners just starting to learn how to open chakras, this is a great place to start. You simply find a quiet place, where you can sit comfortably, then play the audio on your computer or Ipod and concentrate on the frequency. It works great and you will feel the effects immediately! Do not be alarmed if when you open your eyes, you see bits of colored lights for about a minute. This happened to me, and is just a result of your chakras activating.

Advanced practitioners will benefit from it as well. If you have been practicing other methods, adding the use of chakra frequencies can take your training to the next level.

For the highest quality chakra frequencies, I highly recommend PowerOfChakra.com . They have chakra frequency audio for each of the seven chakras that you can download immediately and start opening your chakras today !

The Chakra System

A Chakra is a sanksrit word that literally translates as "wheel" or "disk".  It is a eastern concept of Indian origin that chakras are treated as "energy vortexes", and their sacred balance is crucial to our physical, mental, emotional, and spritual well being.  There are a total of 7 chakras in the actual chakra system. Each of these seven chakras, are located in different areas of the body. I will not go into too much detail about each chakra in this post. Instead, in the near future I am going to writing seperate posts for each chakra and go into detail about what each of their purposes are.  However, here is a list of the seven chakras with their locations and a brief description of what they are responsible for.

  1. Sahasrara/The Crown Chakra: Located at the top of the head. The crown chakra is linked to understanding, cosmic consciousness, and ability to eventually achieve enlightenment.

  2. Ajna/The Third Eye Chakra: Located at the middle of the forehead.  The third eye chakra is directly linked to an individual’s clairvoyance or psychic abilities and intuition.

  3. Vishuddha/The Throat Chakra: Located at the throat. A person with a strong and balanced throat chakra will have good communication skills and creativity.

  4. Anahata/The Heart Chakra: Located at the center of the chest, a person with a healthy heart chakra will have a strong ability to love his or herself as well as others.  It is also the center of hope and compassion.

  5. Manipura/The Solar Plexus Chakra: Located at the solar plexus. This chakra is the center of  energy, vitality, desire, and power.

  6. Svadisthana/The Sacral Chakra: Located just below the belly button. This chakra is the source of emotions, sexuality, and intimacy.

  7. Muladhara/The Root Chakra: Located at the base of the spine. This is where your survival instinct comes from. It is also a source of security and grounding.

There you have it, like I said I will go into more detail about each of the seven chakras eventually. I hope this has given you at least a brief overview of the chakras. In my next post I am going to go talk about how to properly open these chakras and balance them. By doing so, you will immediately notice a stronger sense of well being, peace, and empowerment.
